FREE workshops teaching Vale children how best to care for their pets will be taking place at an Evesham pet store this summer.
The workshops at Pets at Home will give children the essential skills for how to look after their pets and teach them about responsible ownership.
There will be two types of workshop covering Furry Friends such as guinea pigs, rabbits and gerbils, and Scales and Fins, which will focus on the care of fish, wildlife and reptiles.
Children taking part in the events will receive a free book full of puzzles and activities and have the chance to participate in two fun trails where they follow a series of clues to solve puzzles.
After completing a workshop, children will be awarded with a certificate in recognition of their efforts, a balloon, pet promise card, badge and stickers to take home.
They will also be able to enter in a prize draw for a Nintendo Wii games console and two games, a mountain bike, one of five iPod shuffles and one of 30 fish tanks.
The Furry Friends workshops will take place from 3pm on August 4, 6, 18 and 20, and the Scales and Fins workshops will take place on August 11, 13, 25 and 27, also from 3pm.
