BEAUTIFUL blooms and fabulous florals were aplenty at the 107th Badsey Flower Show.
Hundreds of people visited the show on Saturday (July 25) which is one of the Vale’s biggest events of the summer.
Entries for the competition side of the show were up on 2008, with resident Fred Hunt proving to be this year’s most successful candidate after walking away with five cups for most points in show, most points for flowers, most points for roses and sweetpeas, most points for vegetables, and most entries in the show.
There was also plenty of entertainment for visitors in the form of a professional dog display team, an amateur dog show and a taste of the exotic care of the Miramar Belly Dancing Troupe.
Adrian Barradell, committee member for the Badsey Flower Show, said the day was very successful.
“It’s a very popular show, one of the most popular in the county,” he said.
“We were very pleased with the quality of entries we had this year and we’re keen to encourage to enter for next year’s show.”
