CLASSIC cars and a traditional flower show are just two of the attractions at the first Peopleton Autumn Show in almost 20 years.
Taking place at the village hall and playing field on September 5, organisers hope the show will become an annual fixture once again.
This year's show has been organised to raise funds for the day-to-day running costs of St Nicholas Church and a village group The Friends of St Nicholas has been established to raise money for the general fabric of the building.
Show organiser Steve Dexter said he was inspired to do something for the church when a neighbour told him about the problems facing it.
“I thought we ought to do something and that was when the idea was born for the show,” he said.
Doors to the show will open at 12noon with entertainment to suit all members of the family including a falconry display, craft stalls, inflatables, inter-village tug of war and a charity auction.
The inclusion of a flower and vegetable show in the line-up has already proven popular with hundreds of entries in categories including flower arranging, cookery, arts, crafts and photography and a junior section.
Adults can also indulge in the beer and wine oasis, while people of all ages can enjoy delicious hot food and live music from local bands.
Admission to the show is £3 for adults and under 15s go free.
