Elmley Castle pupils enjoy new outdoor play area

RECEPTION children at Elmley Castle First School have celebrated the opening of their new outdoor canopy play area.

The play area forms part of a range of improvements being made at the school, both indoors and outdoors.

Headteacher, Megan Thomas, said: “The canopy area provides children in reception and Year One with a fantastic additional play space.

“We can use it all year round and means the children can play outside whatever the weather.”

Miss Thomas is also new to the school, having joined in June after moving from a village school in Norfolk.
