WYCHAVON has won acclaim for a joint project which saved £1.7million of tax payers’ money.
Staff scooped the award from the Society of Procurement Officers in Local Government after they teamed up with six other district councils to submit joint tenders for insurance.
Vic Allison, deputy managing director at Wychavon said: “It's great to win this award, as it reinforces the fact that district councils can make significant savings through working together with joint buying power to get value for money for our residents.
“These are genuine savings delivered with the same level of service which equate to £66,000 worth of savings for Wychavon annually.”
