A WOMAN sacked by a bus company which accused her of organising a trip for Pershore High School pupils for personal profit has won an employment tribunal.
Christine Neale, of Long Lane, Inkberrow, was dismissed from Casterbridge Tours Ltd of Sherborne, Dorset, after it was alleged she had disclosed confidential information to a competitor and was planning to form her own company. The firm told Birmingham Employment Tribunal that Miss Neale had been made redundant.
But the tribunal found she had been unfairly dismissed because the Casterbridge Tours had failed to carry out the statutory disciplinary and dismissal proceedure in accordance with the Employment Rights Act.
Miss Neale was awarded £4,799 compensation.
