Staff help to keep Vale moving

DESPITE rubbish collections being suspended because of snow, staff from waste contractors Focsa still did their bit to help keep the Vale moving.

About 30 workers from the firm, who usually collects rubbish on behalf of Wychavon District Council, turned their hands to clearing and gritting footways in Evesham and Pershore.

Sharon Casswell of client services said: “As all street cleansing and waste collections have been suspended, due to snow, we have offered Focsa staff to help County Highways keep footways cleared and gritted in town centres.”
