RESIDENTS will be able to watch Worcestershire county councillors make decisions live on the internet next week.
A live webcast of Monday’s cabinet meeting in the council chamber at County Hall will start at 10am. Councillors will debate the details of next year’s budget, as well as consultation for major transport schemes.
The move follows successful webcasts of two full council meetings, with last month’s meeting attracting about 300 live viewers. The webcasts also remain online so residents can view them at a later date.
Councillor George Lord, leader of Worcestershire County Council, said: “We’re very pleased with the response we’ve been getting to the webcasts.
“It is good to know that people are interested in the business of the council and we hope they’ll want to see how the cabinet works. We want the public to get involved and webcasting meetings helps us to do this.”
A link to the webcast can be found at worcestershire.gov.uk/cms/council-and-democracy.
