CAR enthusiasts turned out in force in Pershore last weekend to buy tickets to win a silver Morgan sports car in a special St Richard’s Hospice raffle at Asda.

The Morgan 4/4 Sport, made in Malvern, has been individually designed to reflect the hospice colours with the interior seats in blue with green piping, and the snowdrop logo embroidered on the headrests.

More than £700 worth of raffle tickets, which cost £2 each, were sold over the weekend.

The car will be on view with another chance to buy raffle tickets at Evesham Country Park next Saturday, February 27 from 10am until 4pm, and on Sunday 28 from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

Community fundraiser, Joanna Street, said: “We were really delighted with all the support we had for the raffle in Pershore. This is a stunning raffle prize, imagine winning the Morgan and being able to drive in such style!

The draw for the raffle will take place on March 31, 2010.

Tickets are also on sale at all the hospice shops in Broadway, Tewkesbury, Pershore and Evesham.
