A GROUP of women from Evesham and Tewkesbury, who have all been touched by cancer, are taking part in a mountain challenge for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Lucy Roebuck, Helena Hesketh, Jane Judge and Jemma Haines will be doing The Black Mountain Walk in April and intend to raise more than £100 each for the charity.
Lucy said: “Having lost my dad to cancer six years ago, I know how difficult it can be to go through the emotional and physical challenges that cancer brings.
“I want to do my bit to raise money because the help Marie Curie gives is so precious and much needed to get through a difficult time”
The circular route offers two choices of just over 10 miles each, and both are through some of the most beautiful scenery in South Wales.
Limited places are available on The Black Mountain Walk by calling 0117 942 7132, or by emailing Richard.scott@mariecurie.org.uk.
