JUST three matches escaped the latest bout of precipitation that will cause further problems for fixture secretaries.

Badsey United boasted a handful of different marksmen as they easily overcame Stratford Alliance Journal Premier Division rivals Bretforton OB.

Mino Vernaschi, Andrew Boland, Christian Parn, Andrew Rogers and Jon Gisbourne scored for the winners with a Ben Green-wood brace the only source of encouragement for the defeated hosts.

John Smith also netted twice as Long Compton Rovers overcame FISSC Reserves by the same three-goal margin in Herald Division One. Dale Wright completed the scoring.

There was consolation for the Stratford club as their senior side reached the second round of the Nursing Home Cup.

Goals from Andy Taplin and Nick Turner helped defeat Tysoe United who replied through Alistair Eden.
