HERITAGE AND HISTORY SOCIETY: In spite of the miserable weather, some 60 members turned out for the November meeting to hear Mr Richardson's talk on the Doomsday Book. Much amusement was created when the audience began, successfully but with a great deal of help, to translate the Norman Latin entry for Pershore into 21st century English. An exceptionally enjoyable evening. The December meeting will be held at Wulstan Hall, Priest Lane, Pershore, on Thursday, December 7 at 7.30pm and is the Christmas Social evening; wine, mince pies and a local version of 'Call my Bluff'.

LIBRARY - MULTI CHARITY CHRISTMAS CARDS: You can buy cards, for good causes from the multi-charity Christmas card shop in Pershore Library, Church Street until December 16, Monday, Friday and Saturday, 9.30am to 12.45pm, Tuesday and Wednesday, 9.30am to 12.45pm and again between 2pm and 4pm.

ARTHRITIS RESEARCH CAMPAIGN: The Pershore branch are holding their Christmas fair on December 9 at Almonry Close, Pershore, beginning at 10am and finishing at about noon. There will be cakes and preserves, bric-a-brac, ARC goods and cards; Christmas plants/mistletoe etc and raffle. Father Christmas will also be in attendance as well as live music, coffee and mince pies.

RBL - WOMEN'S SECTION - PERSHORE BRANCH: The next meeting is next Tuesday, at the usual venue. There will be no meeting in January.
