Cattle do nicely for new president

A REGULAR winner at the National Poll Hereford Show at Moreton Show, Robert Shaw, is this year’s president of the Hereford Cattle Society.

Based in Cheshire, Mr Shaw has been breeding Hereford cattle under the Hallwood prefix since the early 1980s.

Over the years Hallwood bred cattle have experienced considerable show ring success. Robert, ably assisted by his son Ian, taking, most notably, the supreme and reserve supreme championship with Hall 1 Nibbs and Hallwood 1 Emerald respectively at the 2006 Moreton event. Hallwood 1 Careless was grand and reserve supreme champion at Moreton at the 2004 National Poll Show.

Recent success have included junior male championship at the 2009 National Poll Show with Hallwood 1 Eddy and the previous year taking the junior and reserve grand female championships with Hallwood 1 Penelope, both by the sire Hallwood 1 Nibbs.
