A CYCLIST is recovering from head injuries he suffered in a road traffic collision when the bicycle he was riding came into contact with a car in Bengeworth. The man was taken to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch with head and facial injuries following the incident on March 27 at 8.50pm. His condition was described as non-life- threatening and he was moved to the Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry the following day for further treatment. Police were called to the scene and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of dangerous driving. The collision between the bicycle and the grey Saab car happened at the bottom of Badsey Lane near where it joins Elm Road and resulted in the road being blocked. Police also taped off surrounding roads as they examined the scene. The man has been released on bail to report to Worcester police station on June 5.
