AN angry mum from Sedgeberrow has warned other families across the Vale to be extra vigilant after her son’s buggy was stolen from her driveway in broad daylight.
Jennie Farmer’s red and black Britax three-wheeler buggy, which costs about £300 new, was taken from the driveway of her home in Winchcombe Road at about 11am last Thursday (Sep 29).
She said: “I left the buggy on the drive, off the road, when I nipped to the shops with my two-year-old son. Someone would have had to trespass onto our property to get it. And it was in broad daylight.
“I’m livid. The buggy had a special registration plate with my son’s name on it attached, so it had some sentimental value as well.
“I told the police within half-an-hour but they told me that because I had not witnessed it being taken there was nothing they could do. I would urge other local families to be extra vigilant with their property.”
Police confirmed enquiries were ongoing and that an officer had been allocated to investigate.
