A PENSIONER made a splash to raise funds for a Worcester charity.
John Barratt was among 40 swimmers who took the plunge for St Richard’s Hospice. Mr Barratt, from North Piddle, near Pershore, was the eldest swimmer and swam 125 lengths in just an hour. He said: “I’ve been training quite hard but I didn’t expect to do so well. I was absolutely delighted.”
It is hoped the event will have raised about £2,500 for the hospice.
