AN Evesham pre-school has something to celebrate after it received a glowing report from Government inspectors Ofsted.
Owners Sally Powell and Lorraine Leahy launched Leaps & Bounds Pre-School in Oat Street a year ago. Since then, the Chapel Gatehouse site, which has housed a pre-school for many years, employs six members of staff and is now almost full to capacity.
Ofsted inspectors praised the new team, giving the setting a ‘good’ rating, and said: “The children have a lovely time at this thriving pre-school with friendly owners who are committed to ensuring a stimulating and welcoming environment is provided.
“The new owners have made significant changes to the preschool showing good capacity for further improvement.”
Inspectors also reported that the children were very happy, formed close relationships and developed their imaginations by playing with new, high quality toys.
They also found that their care and developmental needs were well met, in particular for those with additional needs.
Mrs Powell said: “We love what we do and are delighted that this came across to the inspectors who commented on how happy the children in our care are.”
