THE star-spangled banner was flying at a Bidford care home as residents celebrated American Independence Day. On Wednesday, July 4, everyone at Waterloo House tried traditional American food and candy to mark the 236th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and wore starsand- stripes hats. Tracey York, from the care home, said: “Our residents thoroughly enjoyed our Independence Day. We are always looking for new ways to stimulate and entertain our residents by giving them new experiences.”
