FAREWELL: Sarah Fincher is retiring from Eckington Under Fives after 20 years
MORE than 100 villagers turned out to say a fond farewell to Sarah Fincher who is retiring from Eckington Under Fives Playgroup after 20 years.
The 57-year-old was showered with gifts from parents. Mrs Fincher, who became involved with the playgroup after her children Chris and Emily joined, said: “I was absolutely overwhelmed with the good wishes and lovely thoughts. It’s been wonderful.
“I’m going to miss the children very much. I became part of their families which is absolutely incredible.
“But I decided it was time to finish when I saw the children I had in playgroup now driving cars.”
