Trust calls off fayre at farm

SUNSHINE has come too late for Worcestershire Wildlife Trust which has had to cancel its farm fayre due to be held at Lower Smite Farm on Sunday.

The fayre helps to highlight the benefits of buying local produce and crafts for both people and wildlife. More than 40 stallholders were booked to attend that also features a range of wildlife-related activities for the family.

Trust spokesman Sue Richer said: “We have been gearing up for the event for a while now but unfortunately had a hard decision to make when it became clear that because of the constant rain over the last couple of months we were unable to crop the hay from our field. This leaves us with very little car parking for such an event.”
