SEVERN Trent staff had an early start when carrying out emergency repairs to a mains pipe on the Jubilee Bridge in Fladbury. Work began at 4am on Saturday to repair a rising sewer under the highest point of the road bridge. To prevent pollution of the river, three tankers, with a combined capacity of 14,000 gallons, had previously made 10 trips a day to remove sewage over a two-week period.
