UPDATE 3pm: All lanes have now re-opened. Traffic is still moving slowly and should take some time to clear. Congestion after J7 A44 (Worcester / Evesham), to J4a M42.
UPDATE 2.30pm: Recovery teams have been at the scene but traffic is still very heavy. See our second picture from 2.20pm.
ONE lane of the M5 has been closed following a crash involving a vehicle towing a trailer and a Land Rover.
Lane one of the M5 Southbound between J7 A44 (Worcester/Evesham) and J8 was closed after a trailer, which appears to have a dumper truck on the back, overturned earlier this afternoon.
A Land Rover is also down the embankment. Neither police nor ambulance crews attended the scene.
Traffic is moving slowly through lanes two and three, causing tailbacks of up to five miles.
The Highways Agency are in the process of removing the trailer but the Land Rover will be removed overnight.
