Teenager's ram makes top price

A RAM bred by teenage shepherdess Poppy Godwin, of Moreton, and subsequently sold on, made the top price of the day when he made 980gns at the Zwartbles Sheep Association show and sale at Worcester.

Fosseway Trail Blazer, a shearling ram entered by S J Inns, Castle Hill flock, won his class and was male and reserve overall champion at Worcester. He was previously second at Moreton Show in 2011 and third at this year’s Royal Welsh.

Demand in the female section was buoyant, topping at 480gns for the female and overall champion, a Berrington yearling ewe from Heather Bleaze.
