Pershore is leading the way with card

PERSHORE’S loyalty card scheme has attracted national attention, with towns in counties as far away as Devon contacting organisers eager to repeat its success.

The Pride scheme set up by the town’s chamber of trade aims to encourage people to shop locally. It now has 101 businesses taking part.

Shoppers can visit any of these stores and if they buy something they will receive a sticker on a card. When the card is full it can be entered into a draw, with the winner receiving £25 of vouchers to spend in Pershore.

The latest winner was Pershore resident Pat Hill and the next draw will take place on Friday, September 28.

Fiona Abbott, chairman of the chamber, said each month they were seeing more cards entered into the draw. “It is fantastic to see so many people taking part and to have more entries each month demonstrates Pride’s popularity,” she said.

“We now have 101 businesses with Pershore College Plant Centre our most recent member. We are thrilled to welcome them.”
