THREE Vale parks kept their Green Flag awards, despite problems caused by this year’s wet weather. The Workman and Waterside Gardens in Evesham, Abbey Park in Evesham and Pershore Abbey Park all passed muster to maintain the prestigious status.
The awards go to parks that are welcoming, healthy, safe and secure, clean, sustainable and well managed.
Lynn Stevens, parks officer at Wychavon, said: “The awards give visitors an official seal of approval which means they can have confidence the parks meet high standards.”
