Olympic hero to launch new rowing club at Tewkesbury School

OLYMPIC medallist Zac Purchase MBE will be the guest of honour at the launch of Tewkesbury School’s Rowing Club.
The Former Evesham Rowing Club member will be at the event at Mythe Bridge, in Tewkesbury, on Friday, September 28th at 3pm and a boat will be named in his honour.
The headmaster and governors of Tewkesbury School and the Borough Mayor and Mayoress will also attend.
Thanks to donations from private sponsors including Costain PLC, as well as a lottery grant, the club were able to buy three racing fours.
Severn Vale housing have also recently pledged their support to the project and the club has been awarded Olympic legacy funding from Gloucestershire NHS and Active Gloucestershire.
