EVESHAM Town Council has backed no-parking proposals on Waterside in
front of the hospital.
A traffic regulation order by Worcestershire County Council was approved by
councillors on Monday.
The yellow lines, which prohibit parking or waiting at any time, will be on the north side of Waterside, beginning about 200 metres from the junction with Abbey Road and stretching for about 20 metres.
Coun Patrick Boyd said: “I think it is a shame for the reduction of a number of free parking spaces within walking distance of the town.”
But Coun Gerry O’Donnell said Evesham has a number of free spaces and very few cars would fit in a 21-metre space.
