CHILDREN at Swan Lane First School in Evesham looked to the future when they buried a time capsule. The youngsters put a selection of items in the capsule that will be opened in 25 years time. Graham Walker, headteacher at the school, said: “We decided to do it to tie in with the Queen’s Jubilee year. We got ideas from children for suggestions of what we should put in and they provided some really good ides. “There was a lot of different things in the capsule, including the whole school photo, examples of children’s hand writing, an Argos catalogue to show the price of things today and a DVD of the school.

“We are having a plaque on top of where the capsule is buried to mark the spot.” Pictured with the time capsule are pupils Adrian Gackowski, aged eight, Jamie Sharp, nine, and Fayth Westmacott- Taylor, 10.
