A VALE village has added to its children’s play area with a new set of swings.
Harvington celebrated the official opening of the equipment after 10 years of fund-raising.
The new swings were made possible thanks to fund-raising by the Playing Field Association and grants from various bodies.
Jenny Cocks, treasurer of the playing field committee, said: “We have two climbing frames, a rotator, various wooden posts for climbing, a shelter and a seating and picnic area, and now a really swish set of swings.
“It now looks a very different place from the bare field that was there when we took over.
