TIME is running out to enter prestigious awards that celebrate apprenticeship success.

The Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards are for training providers, employers, schools and apprentices and are hosted by Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and Worcestershire County Council.

The awards will be be presented by comedian Mark Watson, when they are held at a ceremony, scheduled to take place at West Midland Safari Park this November.

There are 12 categories to enter including school of the year, intermediate level apprentice of the year, advanced level apprentice of the year, higher level apprentice of the year, Worcestershire apprentice of the year, newcomer apprenticeship employer, small, medium and large apprenticeship employer of the year, apprentice ambassador of the year, training provider of the year and Worcestershire apprenticeship employer of the year.

Gary Woodman, chief executive of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “The Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards always guarantees a memorable evening where the local community can gather to celebrate the many apprenticeship success stories we have in Worcestershire. I would urge all apprentices, apprenticeship employers, training providers and schools to take the opportunity to enter the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards 2017 before the 30 June deadline.”

Councillor Dr Ken Pollock, cabinet member with responsibility for economy and infrastructure at Worcestershire County Council, added: “It is great to see that the highly popular Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards are continuing to go from strength to strength each year. I am sure that this year’s awards will once again attract a large number of nominations and attendees, and I look forward to the awards ceremony taking place on 16 November at West Midland Safari Park.”
