BUSINESS owners from Worcester are being invited to an innovative conference which aims to demystify cloud accounting software and allow them to make clearer choices when it comes to picking the right package.

Organised by Smith & Williamson, the accountancy, investment management and tax group, the conference will provide a platform for software developers to demonstrate the key benefits of their products and to help businesses and organisations identify what they need to fulfil their needs.

Taking place in Bristol on Thursday, September 21, at the Paintworks Event Space on Bath Road, the Cloud Marketplace Conference will include presentations from top software providers, leading app developers and cyber security experts. Delegates will be able to drop into the presentations that interest them as well as having the chance to quiz the exhibitors one-to-one.

Helen Bassett, associate director within the business outsourcing services team at Smith & Williamson, said: “With so many cloud accounting software platforms now available, it’s sometimes difficult to decide which one will best meet the needs of your business.

"Whether you are looking to transition to cloud, looking to upgrade your existing cloud platform, or just want to find out what the cloud is, the group of experts that we’ve brought together will provide an insightful view of what to and what not to look out for. It’s not often you see representatives from the top platforms together in one space."

Speakers and exhibitors include software developers; Exact, Netsuite, Oracle Cloud, Sage X3 and Xero, as well as a session from Protection Group International on Cyber Security.

The conference runs from at 3.30pm until 8.30pm, and includes a drinks reception.
