THE manager of a Worcester hotel has quashed a rumour it has been sold.
The Worcester News was told that the Pear Tree Inn and Country Hotel in Smite Lane, had been sold.
The popular wedding venue has its own civil ceremony licence, is set set in 20 acres of countryside, has 24 bedrooms and has conference suites to cater for 300 delegates.
The traditional timber framed country pub has a beer garden and patio, used for al fresco dining.
The Worcester News contacted the venue and in response Kully Gakhal, the venue's manager, sent a statement.
Mr Gakhal said: "I can confirm that the Pear Tree Hotel has not been sold at present."
He added if a sale is negotiated a further statement would be issued. Earlier this year we reported on the venue when it held a national convention for dance teachers.
