A HUMAN resources consultancy firm has expanded, now opening a new office in Worcester.

Clover HR was launched in 2017 by Worcester-based Michael Doolin, and went on to achieve an annual turnover of 100,000 and international business in an impressive first year.

Clover HR is now operating from a new office in Friar Street in Worcester, after expanding the team by taking on two new staff in its bid to grow its portfolio of business of providing fully outsourced HR support services and business change coaching.

It has also opened a new office in Assay Studios on Newhall Street in Birmingham.

“Clover HR originally focused on being the ‘right hand support’ for SMEs based in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and the West Midlands,” Mr Doolin said.

“Many of the SMEs that we have met have recognised a lack of understanding in employment law and dealing and communicating effectively with staff. This is where we have initially been able to support.

“Early clients have ranged from candlemakers in Herefordshire to shed builders in Worcester, but the business is growing at a rate that we would never have predicted in this first 12 months.

“Just last week we delivered a programme of bespoke coaching to an international law firm in Amsterdam and provided a start-up HR function for a Dutch international manufacturing firm."

Mr Doolin has more than 30 years of experience in HR, having worked in senior roles for a variety of blue chip firms, including British Airways, PWC, DHL, DPD and Ford Motor Company.

His next ambition is for Clover HR to turnover more than £150,000 in the next financial year, and it has recruited experienced HR professionals Jenny Riley and Jane Tricketts.

To date Clover HR has become a major sponsor to Worcester Lollipop Youth Theatre Group and Kidderminster Harriers FC, and sponsored the testimonial of Worcester Warriors rugby player Jonny Arr.
