A WORCESTERSHIRE hair business has created three jobs as its owners look to meet continued high demand.

Abacus Hair, which attracts clients from across the county to the Bewdley salon, has taken on two experienced hair stylists, alongside a new apprentice who will undertake a two-year training programme.

Joining the family-owned business are Zoe Tilley and Helena Williams who can together count almost 35 years of experience in the industry.

The third appointment sees Chloe Beard joining as the salon’s second apprentice. She will work through a two-year apprenticeship programme with the 16 year-old undertaking all of her training in the salon, working closely with directors Nick and Allison Ford.

Nick said: “It’s brilliant for us to bring three new jobs to Worcestershire.

“We said at the start of this year how we were looking to advance the salon for our customers and Zoe, Helena and Chloe are a big part of that. Zoe and Helena are already making an impact and Chloe has settled in superbly. It’s an exciting time for us as we enter the second half of the year.”

Abacus Hair offers a variety of hair styling, design and colouring services at its four-storey salon. It’s artistic team is headed by Ade Arnold, from Bewdley, who last month marked 20-years working in the business.

Abacus Hair is the only salon in England to have won the L’Oreal Colour Trophy on two occasions. The Bewdley salon was also crowned the number one for ‘best hair’ by the National Hairdressers Federation in 2017.
