TWO showhomes at a development in Evesham have been officially opened by the town's mayor and his consort.

Cllr Fred Kaler and Sue Amor cut the ribbon to the Stafford and Bentley showhomes at Orchard Place, a development of two, three and four-bedroom properties by developer Bellway on land off Pershore Road in Hampton. They are the first to be launched by Bellway’s new South Midlands division.

Regional director for Bellway South Midlands, Mike Kelly, said: "These are the first showhomes our South Midlands division has unveiled and to have the Mayor and Consort of Evesham here with us to mark the occasion made it an extra special event. We have been receiving enquiries about the homes here ever since we started construction and the majority of these enquiries have been from local people who are looking to make the move to a new build home.

“The Stafford and Bentley are both popular house types. The Stafford is the ideal home for a first-time buyer or young family, while the Bentley is a great home for growing families who might be looking for some extra space. Both benefit from good-sized accommodation and open-plan kitchen/diners, ideal for entertaining and spending time together as a family.

“It was great to see so many people taking a look around both showhomes, many of whom commented on the design of them and how impressed they were. We hope they will inspire and excite prospective-buyers about the homes we are building at Orchard Place." Prices on the development start at £234,995.
