WORCESTERSHIRE-based creative agency Drp has welcomed a new face to the team.

Jez Light has joined the Hartlebury-based firm as the new learning and development manager to help drive and implement its existing and new learning strategies and programmes across the business.

Mr Light’s main responsibilities will be to provide a creative and innovative structure to ensure that all team members are being developed on a constant basis. This will guarantee that the team have full access to all learning programmes, in a way that works for them to help develop both professionally and personally.

He will be working closely with the board, and sales and marketing teams at Drp to ensure the learning culture is unique and appeals to staff in a pleasurable way.

Before working at Drp, Mr Light worked within the retail, leisure and hospitality industries in learning and development and human resources over the last 20 years.

His previous role was at international retailer, Superdry, where he created and worked as the group learning and development manager. His main role was to manage and run all of Superdry’s learning and development departments around the world, in all stores, offices and franchises.

Mr Light was awarded a CIPD best training award in 2017 and has worked alongside brands such as Toby Carvery, All Bar One, Harvester brands, Next, and Superdrug.

“My belief is that learning is way more effective when it’s fun and memorable and hits the right spot so I’m looking forward to getting settled in and start making progress towards this for everyone across Drp,” Mr Light said.

Chief executive Dale Parmenter added: “At Drp we are passionate about each person’s individual talent, and ensuring they receive the best training and development.

"Having Jez on board has facilitated this vision, and we are looking forward to see what he will bring to the business.”
