THE weather was kind to us all as we enjoyed a visit to Julia Scotts Herb Garden in Worcester on Thursday evening. Julia has a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of herb growing and their properties from culinary uses to medicinal benefits. She gave us a fascinating insight into her moon planting which she believes gives her stronger and more productive plants as the planting is dictated by the phases of the moon.
The evening was rounded off with refreshments served in the garden with Julia and her husband on hand to answer any questions we had.
Our next visit is Thursday, September 7 when we will be going to the walled garden at Croome Court after a talk by Chris and Karen Cronin earlier in the year on their restoration project of the site.
