Forty two garden club members gathered at Croome to visit the walled garden. We were greeted by Chris Cronin, who together with his wife Karen, has been busy for the last 17 years restoring the garden. The interesting tour reflected the love and care that had been put in to bring the garden up to its present day standard. Chris's informative talks explained the achievements they had made and highlighted the work still to be done which includes planting many varieties of heritage fruit and veg. With the aid of the National Trust and their volunteers Chris is now confident that the garden will be fully restored and he encouraged us to visit again in the future.A welcome cup of tea and beautiful cakes greeted us at the end of what was a chilly but very enjoyable afternoon.
