FIRSTLY well done to those of you that signed up to the Sunday lunch at the Club on February 12. My previous e-mail mentioned the fact that numbers were limited to 50 and that number was passed very quickly so I’m sorry but we cannot take any more bookings. Keep an eye out for the next one and make sure that you sign up quickly.

Wimbledon Ballot 2017: A reminder to club British Tennis Members (BTM) that if you wish to opt in to the Wimbledon ballot for 2017 that this will need to be undertaken online via the LTA website (www.lta.org.uk/member/login) before the closing date of 17 February 2017.

Currently, of 195 eligible members, only 51 have so far opted in. Please note that the allocation of Wimbledon tickets to the club is dependent upon the number of BTM members that opt in to the ballot and that only opted in members will have an opportunity to win tickets via the LTA's automatic online draw.

Quiz Saturday 8 April: A find-raising Quiz is to be held at the club on the evening of Saturday 8 April starting at 7.30pm. Teams can be up to SIX players, cost is £8 per head and that will include supper in the interval. There will also be a raffle on the night.

The event is open to non-members so anyone who is interested is welcome to bring along friends and family to make up their teams. If you are interested then do please come along. The quiz is being advertised early so that the date can be added to diaries before any conflicting events come along. We do need a good number of teams to make it worthwhile. The feedback received on previous years' quizzes has been excellent so please come along and enjoy the fun. Notices will in due course be displayed on various noticeboards, and at the same time an entry sheet will be posted on the tennis noticeboard by the main door.

Alternatively, you can enter by e-mailing Tony Buttler on t.buttler@btinternet.com. We look forward to seeing you there.
