ON February 28 we held our monthly meeting at the Town Hall. After the formal business of the day, we were given a talk by Alice from St. Richard's Hospice. It was a very interesting talk as she told us that the hospice had been operating for over 30 years and had been at Wildwood Drive, Worcester for over 10 years now.

Alice told us about the doctors, nurses, care workers, occupational therapist, creative therapist as well as over 1,000 volunteers who give their time and, of course, the patients, their families and loved ones. We were shown lots of lovely photographs of all these groups of people and it was fascinating to see some of the activities people are able to enjoy there. Thank you, Alice, for an enlightening and well delivered talk.

After refreshments members took part in a quiz about different dances which really exercised the little grey cells. The winner completed 19 out of 23 questions correctly, so well done.

Our next meeting is on Tuesday, March 28 at 1.30pm in the Town Hall when there will be a talk about Croome Court, so do come along and join us.
