AT our last meeting we had a lovely musical session with Mike and Pat Ledbury. Mike was on melodeon and Pat on drum. Mike brought three melodeons and gave a demonstration on each. He also explained the difference between a melodeon and an accordion. He then went on to explain how songs were developed, sometimes over several years and from different regions - such as The Cornish Floral Dance. This week we enjoyed a day trip to Gloucester Docks, a huge shopping centre. We also went to the Gloucester Regiment Museum which was very interesting. Our next day trip is to Bournemouth on July 20.
