At our meeting on Wednesday 13 July we were entertained by Lynda Warren who gave an interesting talk entitled "A Funny Way to Make a Living". She told us some amusing stories concerning her involvement in the early days of Channel Four Wales TV when she and her husband were employed to find suitable locations for various programmes as also some odd and peculiar props including a dog who could play dead for 20 seconds on demand. Somehow they always managed to come up with the goods. Lynda will be continuing her stories at our next meeting on Wednesday the 10th August (in the Congregational Church Hall) when she will tell us about further projects undertaken by her and her husband including working at Disneyland Paris.

On the 20th July the club went on a day trip to Bournemouth which just happened to be the hottest day of the year. However it was most enjoyable and ice creams and long cold drinks were the order of the day.

The September meeting is to be cancelled as quite a number of members will be on the Club holiday in the Lake District.

New members are always welcome and details can be obtained from Morag (01608 652621) or Janet (01608 650665)
