MUSYCK Anon took part in the Shakespeare's birthday celebrations at Stratford on Saturday 22 April. Some members of the choir took part in the annual parade that goes through the town to Holy Trinity Church to lay flowers on the bard's grave. In the afternoon they joined the rest of the choir to perform outside the library in Henley Street. Dressed in colourful seventeenth century costumes we sang music contemporary with Shakespeare, including a song that was written for the first performance of 'The Tempest'. In keeping with the international flavour of the day we included songs in German and Italian, as well as English.

The next chance to hear the choir is on 17 June at the Evesham Festival of Music. See our website www.musyckanon.com for details or find us on Facebook.
