SEPTEMBER was a busy month for Witton WI when firstly some of our members visited and heard about the labyrinth at St. Andrew's Church. We also had a coffee morning at Churchfield's Farm and an interesting and informative seasonal talk at David's Nurseries followed by tea/coffee and a delicious slice of cake. Six of our ladies played the first match of the County skittles competition which we unfortunately lost to Hadzor and Oddingley, but Carolyn was the overall highest scorer. On a wet Salt Fest day, along with Sparkles and Salwarpe WI's, we 'womaned' a cake and bottle stall and displayed boards showing our various activities and information about the WI in general. Our September meeting was held the day after WI Day so many of our members wore hats to celebrate and we then heard from John Butterworth who entertained us with tales of his experience as a newspaper reporter and editor.

Our meetings are held at 7.30pm on the third Thursday of the month at Droitwich Methodist Church Hall, Worcester Road. Why not come along - you are guaranteed a warm welcome.
