OUR March meeting was the annual Spring show. A total number of entries in the various classes exceeded 60, which was remarkable in view of the heavy rain during the show day, spoiling many of the would be specimens selected for the show. Our two judges were Colin Hill, club chairman, and Hazel Byron, who stepped in for Tiny Hadley, our President, who was on holiday. The entries in each class were of the highest quality presenting the judges with a difficult task. Our club Secretary, Barbara Bennett won the coveted first place for her brownies, a favourite class for the judges! However, the overall winner was Sheila Taylor, closely followed by our newest member, Lesley Dingley with Barbara Bennett in third place. Two quizzes took place during judging with much hilarity and discussion amongst members. Easter eggs were enjoyed by all for taking part.
Our April meeting on Wednesday 26 April is a talk by Will Scott entitled "The Walled Garden, Worcester". As usual the venue is the Memorial Hall in Wickhamford at 7.30pm, the competition is Flower of the month. We look forward to seeing you all.
