A SEVEN and a half ton skip lorry has been stolen from a farm in Badsey.

The Leyland DAF, which was taken between 9pm and 10pm on Monday, (20) has a white cab, green body and Diggit logos on a number of places. The lorry had a red skip on board filled with soil when it was taken from Hughes Farm, Bretforton Road.

A police spokesman said: "This is an unusual theft and we are keeping an open mind as to whether the thief wanted the lorry or its load, or perhaps both."

Officers want to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in Bretforton Road near the time of the incident or who has seen the vehicle since.

Those with information are being asked to call the police on 08457 444 888 or Crimestoppers on 08700 555 111.
