Club granted licence after objections are withdrawn

BADSEY Recreation Club has been granted a licence to hold adult entertainment after all the objectors to the plans withdrew their opposition.
The club's application for a premises licence was set to go before Wychavon District Council on Wednesday (7) afternoon but with no objections still relevant, licensing unit leader, Graham Simms was able to grant the application with delegated powers yesterday (1).
There were numerous objectors to the plans at first as the club wished to open longer hours and could potentially hold adult entertainment' nights, which were deemed inappropriate by some. However they have now reached agreements with the applicant after some slight amendments to the application and the licence is effective as of yesterday.
