A BADSEY school girl has taken a giant step towards achieving her dream of appearing in the West End after she won a place at a prestigious dance school.
Carly Miles, of Horsebridge Avenue, has been accepted into Laine Theatre Arts School in Epsom, Surrey after she picked up its Dance and Drama Award.
The 15-year-old auditoned for a place at three different theatre schools and was accepted into all of them ann won a scholarship, but Laine was her first choice.

Carly, who goes to Prince Henry's High School, said: "I am really nervous but really happy too. It was a real shock when I found out because I thought my audition went really bad so I was not expecting it."
Carly will start a three year National Dimpola in Professional Musical Theatre at the school in September.
Her mum Karen said: "I am very pleased for her. I knew she could do it. She is very determined and capable. Dancing is more than just a hobby for Carly. She wants to make a life out of it and end up in the West End. I'm really chuffed."
Carly has been dancing for nine years and currently attends the Jacqueline Williams School of Dancing in Willersey.
She said musicals such as Fame and Footloose have inspired her to follow her dream.
"Hopefully I will appear in the West End one day," she added.
