Band's auction of promises

EVESHAM'S Avonbank Brass Band is holding an Auction of Promises on Saturday (10) as part of its fundraising drive to cover the costs of taking 25 brass instruments to Evesham, New Jersey.
Several lots have been donated by businesses and individuals including a meal for two at The Evesham Hotel, two tickets to see Jools Holland and his orchestra at Eastnor Castle and tickets to see the cricket at Worcester.
The event will take place at 7.30pm at Evesham Town Hall. Catalogues are on sale for £2 and admits two people to the auction. A licensed bar will be on offer during the night.
