A NUMBER of incidents of vandalism after the hugely successful Evesham Regatta has tarnished an otherwise excellent weekend for the town rowing club.
The attacks are believed to have taken place on Sunday (4) evening following the completion of the regatta held on the River Avon at Evesham Rowing Club.
There were three main incidents which involved a boat used for the weekends races being thrown into the river, significant damage being caused to the hired VIP marquee and vandals also tipped over all of the portaloos hired for the bank holiday event.

The boat thrown into the river was recovered on Monday (5) after it had become perched on Chadbury Lock. Rowing club members believe that there must have been a number of culprits as the boat is large and would have taken several people to carry it to the water.
